White House Press Spokesman Gibbs Brings The Words From Above
Email This Post
1. Obama’s Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will NOT say the words “War On Terror”. Will not. He plans to get back with us on what Obama wants the new phrase to be. It might have the words “violence” or “hatred” in it. “War On Terror” is just too G.W. Bush. Refer to Obama’s Inauguration speech to review Barry’s policy position on this. Gibbs will not discuss what happened in Pakistan this morning, when our missiles hit inside Paki and killed 7 people, no matter how hard you press him.
2. Gibbs said “Punt” when asked about Obama’s “New Way For Islam”. He will only say that Obama wants peace in the Middle East. Barry is hoping for it. (Jihadist dudes are hoping for a “New Way For Islam.”)
3. How about the banks? No, Gibbs won’t touch that one. He says stay tuned, because Obama will tell you what he wants to have happen. Don’t get too far ahead of Barry on the issues. Rest assured that there will be no more support for remodeling of big-wig offices at banks and on Wall Street.
4. Gibbs is uncomfortable addressing the whole “waiver for lobbyists in the administration” sticky issue. No comment. Obama is working it out with the violators of the new ethics policy he decreed yesterday. It’ll all be cool. Chillax.
When you deal with the press the way the Obama administration is currently, by placing Press Secretary Robert Gibbs out as the spokesman who declares what Obama plans to do about things…but Robert is vigorously mum to the press on MANY critical issues, it does not give us comfort. This morning, the AP declared that “Obama rules the press with an iron fist.” The AP is right.
5. Buuuut, Gibbs says Obama MAY give a “State Of The Union Address” in late February. Gibbs said they’re making sure there isn’t a time conflict with “Dancing With The Stars”. (Verbatim from Gibbs.)
6. Gibbs says Obama’s ready to receive economic recovery plans to bless. His plan would spend 75% of the bailout funds within 18 months. He’d like the plans to be bi-partisan, but Congress is going to have to handle that part. Your plan should spend 75% of the funds within 18 months. Barry may sign the winner!
7. Gibbs reminded the press (and everyone else) to stay tuned to Youtube, because it rocks, and Obama will be speaking to us a lot on Youtube from now on. Peace Out.

Really? Is this news or a surprise? The press helped create this disaster…maybe if they’d done their job during the campaign, we’d have avoided this constitutional disaster. Here’s a better idea for the press…DO YOUR JOB and start reporting FACTS!

Agreed about the MSM not doing their job of vetting Obama during the campaign. Obama’s making sure, however, that the press falls into march-step. He will not call on any press member whom he feels will ask him a question he doesn’t like. Read the AP’s concern at the link. Gibbs is a poor excuse for a press secretary, but anyone else would be equally constrained by Obama. The MSM can’t seriously question Barry now even if they want to. Perhaps this first taste of Obama’s iron fist will spur them into more vigorous action. Unfortunately, hard questions will probably mean that whomever asks them will be iced out of future press opportunities.
