Watch the Homeland Security Committee’s hearings on Crashergate live here.

Now you didn’t really think Valerie Jarrett was going to stand down while her buddy, White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers, got thrown under the bus, did you? Rogers is another in the long line of Obama Chicago fundraisers who bagged a job in the White House, and she’s trying to remain mum about Crashergate.

Nobody’s gonna mess with The First Galpal clique, which includes Rogers, Valerie Jarrett and Michelle Obama’s chief of staff, Susan Sher, who not only work at the White House, but also live in the same apartment complex. A source who knows the women says they frequently get together after hours to share a glass of wine, chat and kvetch. “It’s almost like a pajama party.”

The White House has invoked the executive privilege clause to block Congress from forcing Rogers to testify on the major security breach caused by Mr. and Mrs. Salahi. Valerie Jarrett defended Rogers’ refusal to appear, telling ABC’s “Good Morning America” that there was no need for Rogers to attend the hearing and answer questions because “we think we’ve really answered the questions fully.” Jarrett kept a straight face when she said the administration was keeping faith with Obama’s promise of transparency in government.

Executive privilege for a social secretary? Congress doesn’t seem to want to let this one go. It is subpoenaing the Salahis and may do the same for Rogers. As Right Soup readers know, Tariq Salahi has ties to Hamas terrorists, and the Salahis pressed their friend in the Department of Defense, Michele Jones, to score tickets to the big event. There is more to this story than party-crashing. Will Michele Jones be subpoenaed also? Obviously, from the looks of the picture above…the Salahis are no strangers to the Pentagon.

Never forget Rahm Emanuel’s razor: “never let a crisis go to waste.”
