Watch Out Pennsylvania, Chris Matthews On For PA Senate In 2010
Email This Post
The vultures are circling PA Senator Arlen Specter’s seat for the 2010 election and leading the list of Democratic hopefuls is Chris Matthews of MSNBC’s “Hardball.” Specter is currently in his fifth term and plans to run again in 2010, but that didn’t stop Matthews from sitting down with state Dems to review his options.
Matthews has avoided coming right out and detailing plans to run in 2010, but so far it has been an expected move just as long as this doesn’t get in Matthews’ current job of “making Obama succeed.”
Whoever decides to run against Specter will have an uphill battle as 60% of PA’ers currently rate Specter positively. Combine that with Specter’s ability to raise $6 million in his past two Senate runs and you’ve got a pretty secure position.
