URGENT ACTION TODAY: Stop The Confirmation Of Czar Cass Sunstein

UPDATE: Sadly for our nation, Cass Sunstein was confirmed today in a 57-40 Senate vote. Republican Senators Snowe, Lugar, Hatch, Voinovich, Bennett and Collins all voted for Sunstein. The complete vote breakdown is here.

Democrats rushed up the confirmation hearings for Obama’s “regulatory czar” Cass Sunstein yesterday, hoping we would be distracted by Barry’s big speech last night and they’d be able to ram him through. A few GOP Senators were able to slow down the vote until today, but the vote will happen at any time…probably after lunch.

Cass Sunstein is the most dangerous of all Obama’s czars. The power he would have is IMMENSE. Why? As regulatory czar, Sunstein’s job is to “tweak” our existing laws to make them “legal.” Huh?!! What’s worse is, his views are SO radical he makes Van Jones look like Ronald Reagan. For instance, Cass believes that animals are equal to humans in value, and that the Second Amendment is toilet paper.

His 2001 book, Republic.com, argued that “the Internet may weaken democracy because it allows citizens to isolate themselves within groups that share their own views and experiences, and thus cut themselves off from any information that might challenge their beliefs.” Since you can’t be trusted to read the “politically correct” BS on the net, it must be changed.

It is IMPERATIVE that we call and email our Senators IMMEDIATELY today. Cass Sunstein must be stopped. To give someone so radical so much power is insanity. His potential for damage is limitless.
