Barack Obama’s winding up his not quite excellent adventure to Europe where he was a weak, naive, iPod-giving ass-kisser who fooled no one across the pond. Foreign leaders spanked down his spending, and pressed him to submit the U.S. and it’s financial systems to global supervision. “May I have another, sir? How about this… America wants to hold hands and sing Kumbayah with the world. We’ll go first and lay down our nukes.” As if on cue, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates slashes the heck out of our current military budget.

The G-20 planted the seeds for a new era of global socialism. The group agreed to global financial regulations that France’s Sarkozy said turned the page on the Anglo-Saxon model of free markets. The final communique of the G-20 summit pushes the world one step closer to a global currency and a global central bank, all designed to replace the U.S. dollar as the international reserve currency.

NATO leaders ignored Obama’s plea for a significant boost in combat troop numbers to fight the in Afghanistan. He tried to put a positive spin on their meager promise to send just 5,000 extra troops to Afghanistan, describing it as a “significant and strong down payment on the future of NATO.” Wow. 3,000 of the additional troops will serve as short-term security for elections that are set for August, and the remaining 2,000 will work as trainers to the Afghan National Army and police force. “Don’t call us, we’ll call you,” Europeans told Obama.

All of this against the backdrop of Kim Jong Il, cranking up North Koreas’s missiles and cackling at the UN. The UN spanked Obama and friends by doing nothing, as usual.

After a muslim-lovin’ stop in Turkey which went better with the press than it did with the people at home, Barry snuck into Iraq this morning. Presidents have to pop into the war zones like that… proof that all is not unicorns and kittens in the mission formerly known as “the war on terror.”

He told the Iraqi people that they have to take increasing responsibility for themselves, and that he’s really proud of their progress. Baghdad has seen over 40 bombings in the past few weeks as the Taliban attempt to exploit the coming vacuum of defense when we skip town. It wasn’t just a pep rally stop, however- it was also a test as to how well Iraqi security can handle something like the Obama show when it comes to town.

The tour stopped today at Camp Victory, Saddam’s former palace, where in an ornate marble foyer, Obama spoke to 5-700 troops and civilian contractors. It was an image the White House wanted to get out… that Obama supports the troops no matter what he said in the past. He told them the next 18 months are crucial for Iraq, and that Iraq had to step up because all US forces will be out by 2011. Bad news for the troops; Afghanistan awaits.

Obama’s foreign campaign tour was all-in-all pretty busted. We look like panderers, Europe isn’t interested in pitching in. Obama’s high-school-essay-dream of a nuclear-free world will never happen. The genie is out of the bottle, and his proclamations make us look like morons. North Korea and Iran don’t respond to mail from the UN, and have absolutely no plans to give up becoming nuclear powers. Obama want us to lay down our arms and our sovereignty. The world has taken Obama’s measure, and is treating him like an amateur. The consequences don’t look great for us.
