Terrorist Chatter Indicates Possible Attack On US And Israel

Breaking now, Fox News is reporting that terrorist chatter has increased significantly since Israel entered Gaza on the ground today. Specifically, there has been a call for Hamas and Al Qaida to work together against the U.S. and Israel, and that there is a heightened potential for attacks within the U.S. from elements already present in this country. The chatter suggests mobilization against targets here.
The Jihad And Terrorism monitoring arm of MEMRI, (Middle East Research Institute) whose translations of Islamic sites are considered accurate and credible has this note:
On January 1, 2009, the unofficial Hamas website www.palestine-info.info (hosted by Emirnet-Emirnet in the UAE) posted an article titled “Time Has Come to Expand the War against the Jews and Use WMDs.”
MEMRI also notes that many jihadist websites are now calling for attacks inside the U.S.
Known Islamic compounds (which are likely training areas) exist in the U.S.- in upstate New York (Islamberg), Dover, TN., as well as many other parts of the country (list). They operate with impunity inside our own nation.
At this time, representatives of the Arab League are headed to the U.N. to demand that Israel cease operations in Gaza. Israel has stated that it will “finish the job” of dealing with Hamas in Gaza. Right Soup will update this story as more information becomes available.
