Supreme court nominee Sonia Sotomayor is giving conservatives plenty of fodder for battling her confirmation. In addition to declaring that the courts are where policy is made, and the racist statement that a “wise Latina” such as herself would make better decisions than white males,” she is no fan of the Second Amendment.

Sotomayor’s Princeton University legal theses included “Race in the American Classroom, and Undying Injustice: American ‘Exceptionalism’ and Permanent Bigotry”, and “Deadly Obsession: American Gun Culture.” In the second thesis, Sotomayor argued that the Second Amendment did not actually afford individual citizens the right to bear arms, but only duly conferred organizations, like the military. Instead of making guns illegal, she says that they have been illegal for individuals to own since the passing of the Bill of Rights. WHAAAT?

This chick is Eric Holder’s wet dream, and kills about 4 birds with one stone for Obama. Minority? Check. Female? Check. Liberal? Check. Gay? Rumored to be a check. Her colleagues have painted her as a “terror on the bench”, “aggressive and combative” and unable to be a consensus builder. Her judicial record may be long, but 65% of her rulings have thankfully been overturned. Is she racist? She is on the board of La Raza, the Hispanic activist group that wants Texas and California back, promotes driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, amnesty programs, and wants no immigration law enforcement by local and state police… amongst MANY other demands. La Raza means “The Race.” It’s not YOUR race unless you’re Hispanic, and if you aren’t Hispanic, La Raza is not fond of you.

Sotomayor may have grown up in a Bronx trashcan with Oscar The Grouch, and fought her way to the top of the heap, but these are not qualifications for a lifetime on the Supreme Court. The White House has warned Sotomayor’s critics to “be very careful.”

Let your Senators know to screw Obama’s hurry-up timetable for confirmation, and that you DON’T want this woman on the bench.
