Your Senators are trying to hide something from you today. They’re finishing work on the annual appropriations bill- which is “must-pass” legislation. As they’ve been unsuccessful in their past attempts to pass federal laws that give special protections to victims of “hate crimes”, they are sneaking the legislation into the appropriations bill. This is the way things are done on the Hill. CSPAN-2 is covering the debate now.

We have laws to deal with victims of crime. We are all equally protected under these laws. It is not a big leap from “hate crimes” to “thought crimes.” Not in these insane times.

Attorney General Eric Holder admitted in testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the federal hate bill (S-909) will NOT equally protect all Americans. Holder says that the bill is to protect specific groups that have a history of being targeted by violence because of the color of their skin or sexual orientation.

The Constitution grants equal rights to all. What’s even more outrageous is that when Senator Coburn (R-OK) asked Holder if the murder of an American soldier in Arkansas by a Muslim extremist qualifies as a hate crime, Holder replied again that the bill is to protect groups that have historically been persecuted such as Blacks, Jews, and Homosexuals. Holder also admits the bill allows for Federal prosecution if a local jurisdiction refuses to prosecute. This is a clear violation of the 10th Amendment, which grants jurisdiction to state governments.

This Bill does NOT provide equal protection to all Americans and is therefore unconstitutional. It grants special rights to certain groups, while making the rest of us second-class citizens.

The job of the Attorney General is to uphold the Constitution. Holder and Congress CLEARLY have no interest in the legality or Constitutionality of this bill.
You know the drill. Contact your Representatives today and tell them to vote NO to this unconstitutional, unfair legislation… and that you are fed up with this type of legislative trick. You can also call Call toll-free 1-877-851-6437 or toll 1-202-225-3121. Go to your Senator’s Youtube channel and call them out in public.

Here’s Eric Holder’s outrageous testimony.
