Obama Camp Lowering Post-Election Expectations

In preparation for the possibility that “The One” wins the election the Obama camp is already working to scale back Obamatrons’ expectations:

One senior adviser told The Times that the first few weeks of the transition, immediately after the election, were critical, “so there’s not a vast mood swing from exhilaration and euphoria to despair.”

The aide said that Obama himself was the first to realize that expectations risked being inflated.

In an interview with a Colorado radio station, Obama appeared to be engaged already in expectation lowering. Asked about his goals for the first hundred days, he said he would need more time to tackle such big and costly issues as health care reform, global warming and Iraq.

“The first hundred days is going to be important, but it’s probably going to be the first thousand days that makes the difference,” he said. He has also been reminding crowds in recent days how “hard” it will be to achieve his goals, and that it will take time.

“I won’t stand here and pretend that any of this will be easy — especially now,” Obama told a rally in Sarasota, Florida, yesterday.

Gee, I wonder what sort of unrealistic expectations they’re worried about?

Catch that? Here it is again, Obama’s magical wand will save us all:

No more worrying about the mortgage payments… No more worrying about putting gas in my car.

Listen as Barack Obama calls for a “civilian national security force.” Is Biden going to explain the National Guard to Obama or can I do it? Please?

Is The FBI Investigating Obama’s Florida Campaign Chair Robert Wexler?

Comments Off on Is The FBI Investigating Obama’s Florida Campaign Chair Robert Wexler?

Robert Wexler, far-left Democrat Rep. for the state of Florida, (and Obama’s Florida campaign chair) has been on Bill O’Reilly’s radar for awhile… Bill popped him in July for not having legal residency in Florida. Wexler uses his parent’s retirement-subdivison home as his legal address, but the community’s own rules don’t allow kids (like Wexler’s teenagers) to live there. And he doesn’t live there either. He spends most of his time at his home in Maryland. Swing-state slime! This issue could get even stickier because of possible campaign fraud the FBI is said to be investigating involving Wexler’s own campaign.

Wexler’s Republican opponent, Edward Lynch, says that Wexler’s engaged in campaign-finance schemes that amount to money laundering. No less than 25 amended Federal Election Commision reports were filed by Wexler just days after O’Reilly confronted him on-camera July 22nd about the residency issue. The amended reports were filed between July 23rd and July 30th. So what needed to be amended? Seems like QUITE a bit.

The amendments removed references to “Newbridge Securities” as a corporation from which the campaign had received funds, replacing Newbridge with a variety of different companies.

Several of the new companies, such as Capital Gains Consultants, Inc., were not in business at the time Wexler’s amended FEC report claims the funds were paid, according to documents Lynch provides on his website created to shed light on the issue. On July 25, in the midst of the Wexler campaign’s revisions to its old filings, Newbridge Securities and its owners were brought up on charges by the Securities and Exchange Comission for securities violations.

Wexler’s campaign told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that accusations the campaign may be connected to securities fraud are “completely silly and downright libelous.” There is no proof yet of wrongdoing, and the FBI is saying “no comment.” It looks awfully fishy, though.

Even outside of the allegations of money laundering, the residency issue is a VERY serious matter that has yet to be resolved. Wexler’s “fake home-town” newspaper, the Palm Beach Post, has barely mentioned the story. Law enforcement will probably not investigate the issue in earnest until after November 5, to avoid the appearance of interfering with the election. One thing’s for sure, Nancy Pelosi’s “most ethical Congress in history” is not living up to the hype.

Obama Says He Didn’t Know His Auntie Was Here Illegally

Barack Obama’s beloved “Auntie Zeituni Onyango“, of whom he spoke so fondly in his memoir, was discovered by the media this week. Where was auntie found? Living in a slum in Boston. Auntie also “can’t talk to anyone until after November 4th.” We wondered why auntie’s freedom of speech was being squelched, until we discovered that auntie doesn’t HAVE any Constitutional rights! Why? Because she’s here illegally. No big shock that Barack Obama says he didn’t know about this. Welcome to the underside of the bus, auntie!

Zeituni Onyango came to the U.S from Kenya, like several other Obama relatives. The Associated Press found that she had been instructed to leave the country four years ago by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from Kenya. Onyango lives in public housing in Boston and is the half-sister of Obama’s late father .A statement given to the AP by Obama’s campaign today says: “Senator Obama has no knowledge of her status but obviously believes that any and all appropriate laws be followed.”

Onyango, 56, has been instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango’s case.

Sure are a lot of people who can’t talk about Obama! (cough..LA Times…cough) Is this what we have to look forward to if Obama wins the Presidency? Freedom of the press will become The Fairness Doctrine again. And that means Right Soup might have to give equal time to idiots.

Oh, and Obama thinks that “all laws of the U.S. should be followed” regarding Auntie Onyango. It remains to be seen what those laws morph into should he be in the position to influence U.S. immigration policy.

McCain Campaign Launches Election Fraud Hotline

Comments Off on McCain Campaign Launches Election Fraud Hotline

In anticipation of unprecedented levels of voter fraud due to the likes of ACORN, the McCain campaign has launched a hotline for reporting voter fraud and intimidation. Voters can report any issues or concerns to the hotline at 1-866-976-VOTE.

John McCain’s national political director issued this statement in conjunction with the launch of the voter hotline:

“The hotline will allow us to learn about and take steps toward remedying any voter irregularities at polling places across the country. While we are hopeful that Election Day will be free of any wrongdoing, allies of the Democrat Party, such as ACORN, have shown a willingness to commit fraud in both this election cycle and in 2004. Given the tightness of the polls, all examples of fraud must be addressed to preserve the integrity of the election.”

In 2004, multiple forms of voter fraud occurred, including voter intimidation, fraudulent registrations, multiple ballots cast and votes bought for money. Already during the 2008 election cycle, a dead woman in Missouri cast an absentee ballot, individuals were arrested for voting twice in Florida and people in Ohio registered and voted on the same day.

Don’t hesitate to call the hotline (1-866-976-VOTE) if you see anything suspicious!

Aerosmith’s Joe Perry Walks McCain’s Way

Comments Off on Aerosmith’s Joe Perry Walks McCain’s Way

Rock icon band Aerosmith generally stay out of politics, although they’ve done a few fundraisers for the Kennedys. It was a nice surprise for the Right, then, when Aerosmith’s legendary guitarist Joe Perry recently came out strongly for McCain!

“We pretty much stay out of it, but seeing so many people come out for Obama, I just felt like ‘What the hell, I might as well raise my hand for this side. I’ve been a hardcore Republican my whole life. My mother and father drilled into me from the very start that if you work hard and be positive, you’ll get what you’re working for. I guess I’m living proof of that.”

Good for mom and dad. It’s nice to see that everyone in the entertainment biz isn’t an Obaminator! Perry said McCain’s age doesn’t faze him at all, he says his mother’s in her 80s and going strong, and that his own manager is in his 70s. Besides, 70 is the new 50! Despite lopsided polls, Joe is urging his fans to get out and vote.

Joe Perry’s endorsement of McCain is a first for the platinum-selling guitarist/songwriter. He’s a lifelong Republican (who knew!) and he said he was inspired to come forward because of Rudy Giuliani and California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s enthusiastic endorsements of McCain. ALL of us should have Joe’s attitude:

“I’m an optimist. It ain’t over till its over,” he said. “I think that he’s got a chance.”
Joe’s right. The latest C/SPAN/Reuters/Zogby poll has John McCain taking the lead! Obama’s liberal lefty love is a message of truth that is finally getting heard. McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said: “Joe Perry is an icon of rock-and-roll and a great American. John McCain absolutely appreciates his support.”

So stand in the line and Stand Up For McCain! We have unprecedented early-voter turnout, and your vote is crucial for the sake of our country.

John McCain Takes Lead In C-SPAN/Reuters/Zogby Poll

John McCain says, “we’re coming back strong,” and it looks like he’s right! After trailing Barack Obama through the day-to-day October polling, McCain has finally broken into the lead as the election approaches, according to Zogby polling:

Republican John McCain has pulled back within the margin of error… The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday, one day, polling. He is beginning to cut into Obama’s lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men…

Don’t let the Obama camp discourage you! John McCain will win on November 4th, leaving the Dems to figure out how this one was “stolen” too.

John McCain To Appear On SNL Tonight

Comments Off on John McCain To Appear On SNL Tonight

NBC looks to continue to capitalize on the political pull of ratings tonight when Senator John McCain returns to Saturday Night Live. Sarah Palin’s appearance alongside Tina Fey’s impersonation drew the highest ratings ever for SNL, so it’s no surprise that they’re looking for more Republican star power.

McCain appeared on SNL earlier this year after securing the Republican nomination. He took the opportunity to encourage the Democratic party to not rush into making any decisions and maybe even hold out until after August. You can watch his May 2008 appearance below.

Saturday Night Live airs tonight at 11:30pm.

Obama’s Sliding Tax Scale Lowered To $120,000

Comments Off on Obama’s Sliding Tax Scale Lowered To $120,000

Watch out, Joe! Obama’s Tax Scale is falling! What started as $250,000 as Obama’s tax increase point has stated falling faster than his polling numbers. In the past week, Obama has lowered that magic tax number from $250K to $200,000. Then VP running-mate, Joe Biden, lowered the number to $150,000.

Now we get another update from New Mexico Governor, Bill Richardson, that Obama’s number is now at $120,000:

Give Obama a few more days and he’ll be raising taxes on his illegal immigrant aunt!

Obama Spent $700,000 On Berlin Stage

Comments Off on Obama Spent $700,000 On Berlin Stage

Think $150,000 is a lot for two months worth of clothes that would be donated to charity? How about $700,000 for one afternoon’s speech? Well don’t tell that to the Obama camp or the people of Berlin!

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama paid a German company nearly $700,000 for staging, sound and lighting services at the time he delivered a speech this past summer in Berlin and declared himself a “citizen” of both the U.S. and the world.

The company was paid $667,082 by the Obama campaign in three disbursements in July and August, according to the FEC records. The campaign also paid $9,018 to the limousine service Bero Berlin, the records show.

Nice. And as far as Michelle Obama using her stint on Leno to slam Palin’s wardrobe purchase by saying she purchases all her own clothes, it’s worth noting that Sarah Palin earns just over $100,000 as the governor of Alaska. Michelle Obama earns over $300,000/year (her hospital salary tripled after Barack won the IL Senate seat and earmarked $1,000,000 for her hospital) and Barack earned over $4,000,000 in 2007. So yeah, I hope they are paying for their own clothes.
