Open Letter To Barack Obama

Below is a reprint of a meme being passed around and something to be considered before Tuesday’s election.

To Barack Hussein Obama,

The New York Times carried a story on Saturday, October 4, 2008, that proved you had a significantly closer relationship with Bill Ayers than what you previously admitted. While the issue of your relationship is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America about it.

The Chicago Sun reported on May 8, 2008, that FBI records showed that you had a significantly closer relationship with Tony Rezko than what you previously admitted. In the interview, you said that you only saw Mr. Rezko a couple of times a year. The FBI files showed that you saw him weekly. While the issue of your relationship is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America about it.

Your speech in Philadelphia on March 18, 2008, about ‘race’ contradicted your statement to Anderson Cooper on March 14 when you said that you never heard Reverend Wright make his negative statements about white America. While your attendance at Trinity Church for 20 years is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America on March 14.

In your 1st debate with John McCain, you said that you never said that you would meet with the leaders of Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea without ‘preparations’ at lower levels … Joe Biden repeated your words in his debate with Sarah Palin … while the video tape from your debate last February clearly shows that you answered ‘I would’ to the question of meeting with those leaders within 12 months without ‘any’ preconditions. While your judgement about meeting with enemies of the USA without pre-conditions is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America in the debate with McCain.

Obama Has Another Leftist Radical On His Team

Comments Off on Obama Has Another Leftist Radical On His Team

I sincerely hope that we haven’t gotten into “radical overload mode”, where hearing about another domestic terror enabler working for Obama makes us yawn. Don’t yawn about this one- she’s Marilyn Katz, who is actually on Obama’s fundraising team.

Marilyn Katz is a PR exec in Chicago, and serves on Obama’s national finance committee. Her title on his website is “fundraising bundler”. She’s held fundraisers for Obama, and was part of the Illinois delegation at the Democratic Convention. Yawn? Keep reading.

Newsmax reports that during the protests of the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Katz was the security chief for the radical Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), which birthed William Ayers and the Weather Underground. During the violent protests, The Chicago Tribune reported that Katz advocated throwing studded nails in front of police cars.

At the infamous “Chicago Seven” trials the next year, an undercover officer named William Frapolly gave testimony. The prosecution asked him to describe his work with organizers of the protest the previous year. He testified that one night in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, Katz instructed a group of protesters on the use of “guerrilla nails.” “She had two types,” he told the court.

“One was a cluster of nails that were sharpened at both ends, and they were fastened in the center. It looked like they were welded or soldered. She said these were good for throwing or putting underneath tires. She showed another set that was the same type of nails sharpened at both ends, but they were put through a Styrofoam cylinder. A prosecutor asked, “To whom was she showing these objects? Frapolly answered, “Everyone in the group.”

Much more recently, Marilyn Katz was a chief organizer of Chicago’s anti-war demonstration in 2002. This protest was where Obama first expressed his opposition to the coming Iraq war. In 2005, she co-authored the book “Stopping War, Seeking Justice” with longtime Marxist and Obama supporter Carl Davidson.

She is currently co-chair of Chicagoans Against War & Injustice, and her PR firm is working on contracts with the city that are worth millions of dollars. Her clients include the city’s housing authority, law department, and departments of housing, human services, streets and sanitation, and public health, among others. That’s how the machine has ALWAYS worked in Chicago.

The Chicago Tribune reported that she said of domestic terrorist William Ayers, “Bill and I were in different parts of SDS. We disagreed on tactics.” Guy Benson wrote on about Obama and Katz’s connection:

“There are so many objectionable figures in Obama’s social milieu, new revelations about yet another garden variety radical may elicit shrugs at this point . . . Perhaps it follows that someone who preferred lobbing guerilla nails at police over planting pipe bombs in federal buildings would be integrated into Obama’s official campaign apparatus without so much as a second look.”

McCain shouldn’t feel TOO bad, Obama did it to Hillary during the primaries.

Man. The campaign has sure CHANGED Barack’s hair color.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-NY: “Obama Lacks Political Courage”

Comments Off on Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-NY: “Obama Lacks Political Courage”

And to think, this was supposed to be a pro-Obama speech. Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-NY, traveled down to Florida to help raise political support amongst undecided or wary Jewish voters but ended up doing more harm than good, at least for Obama. I imagine McCain might dig into his funds to help extend Nadler’s visit.

Anyway, when probed about Obama’s 20 year attendance in Jeremiah A. Wright’s racist church, Trinity United Church of Christ, Nadler explained that Barack Obama “lacks political courage” to do the right thing. Wow.

“I have no personal knowledge of what I’m about to say. What I’m about to say is my guess…”

“My guess,” Nadler said, “knowing how politics works, what I’m about to say is not particularly…”

“…not particularly complimentary towards Sen. Obama,” he says.

“Think of the history here,” says the six-term New York congressman. “You have a guy who’s half-white, half-black. He goes to an Ivy League school, comes to Chicago … to start a political career. Doesn’t know anybody.

“Gets involved with community organizing — why? Because that’s how your form a base. OK. Joins the largest church in the neighborhood. About 8,000 members. … Why did he join the church? … Because that’s how you get to know people.

“Now maybe it takes a couple years,” Nadler says, suggesting that soon Obama starts to think of Wright, “’Jesus, the guy’s a nut, the guy’s a lunatic.’ But you don’t walk out of a church with 8,000 members in your district.”

Suggests a woman: “You don’t walk in though.”

“He didn’t know it when he walked in, presumably,” said Nadler.

And then, the line that may haunt Nadler for four years or longer: “He didn’t have the political courage to make the statement of walking out.

So when Iran is threatening the survival of Israel, I wonder if Obama will just go with the flow instead of risking the chance of offending a dictatorship regime, you know, because he “lacks political courage.”

Obama Gave Hillary “The Finger” In N.C. Speech

Barack Obama. He’s one classy guy. The screenshot below is from a speech earlier this year in which Obama references Senator Clinton, raises his middle finger up to his face, pauses, then chuckles with the crowd for his clever, not so discreet, flicking-off maneuver.

He’s talking critically about his opponent, Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York, and the kind of distasteful gotcha politics that occur in Washington. And he says, “That’s all right. Sen. Clinton looked in her element.”

Watch the video right then. The presidential candidate raises his right hand to seemingly scratch his cheek.

He doesn’t use his whole hand though. Just one finger. Briefly. A couple of strokes.

Democratic presidential candidate and Illinois Senator Barack Obama touches his cheek with one finger while criticizing his opponent New York Senator Hillary Clinton April 17, 2008 during remarks in Raleigh, NC

He pauses. He smiles slyly as the crowd begins to mumble and then he tries, somewhat distracted, to continue his remarks, smiling as the buzz spreads through the crowd.

He’ll no doubt deny it later, but that mischievous smile seems to confirm plenty. And the crowd sure sees something.

Now if only the LA Times would provide a critique of that much more interesting video of Obama. You can watch the speech here.

Swing State Breakdown: How McCain Can Win

Comments Off on Swing State Breakdown: How McCain Can Win

Reuters has a breakdown of twelve swing states and the current poll numbers. While it’s obviously an uphill struggle for McCain it’s also a sign that things are not in the landslide territory that the Obama camp and the media in their pocket want you to believe. Here’s a sample of three main states from the list.

* Florida — 27 electoral votes. Bush beat Kerry 52 percent to 47 percent in a state known for the disputed result that decided the 2000 election. Florida is a classic swing state with many older voters who could favor McCain along with Jewish voters who are normally Democratic but have been wary of Obama. The two most recent polls both gave Obama a 4-point lead, while some earlier polls had showed a narrower margin.

* Ohio — 20 electoral votes. Bush beat Kerry by about 120,000 votes in the state that ultimately decided the 2004 race. No Republican has won the White House without Ohio, and McCain will have a hard time piecing together a win without the state. One new Thursday poll gave Obama a 7-point lead, while another had him up by 4.

* Virginia — 13 electoral votes. Bush won fairly easily by 9 points in 2004 in a state that has not gone Democratic in a presidential election since 1964. But Virginia’s trend has been toward Democrats in recent state elections amid dramatic growth in the Democratic-leaning northern suburbs of Washington, D.C. Two Thursday polls both gave Obama 4 point leads, narrower than in some earlier surveys.

That’s 60 Electoral votes between those 3 states which are polling with leads of just 4 points. Considering the weighting and manipulation of poll numbers, things could be even closer than revealed.

Ex Farrakhan Aide Says Obama & Farrakhan Ties Run Deep

Comments Off on Ex Farrakhan Aide Says Obama & Farrakhan Ties Run Deep

If you are an African-American in Chicago, and you want to successfully run for office, you will NOT succeed without the blessing of Nation Of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. The Chicago machine includes Jesse Jackson and Rev. Jeremiah Wright as well, and you will go nowhere in Chicago politics without their support.

Yesterday, Newsmax reported that a former top deputy of Farrakhan says that Barack Obama’s ties to the black nationalist movement in Chicago run DEEP, and that for many years the two men have had “an open line between them” to discuss policy and strategy, either directly or through intermediaries. Dr. Vibert White Jr., who spent most of his adult life as a member and ultimately top officer of the Nation of Islam, said:

“Remember that for years, if you were a politician in Chicago, you had to have some type of relationship with Louis Farrakhan. You had to. If you didn’t, you would be ostracized out of black Chicago,”

Earlier this year, a pro-Clinton blog run by former CIA officer Larry Johnson unearthed a 2004 photograph showing Michelle Obama and Farrakahn’s wife, Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, at an event hosted by Jesse Jackson’s Citizenship Education Foundation.

White left the Nation of Islam in 1995 and is now a professor of African-American history at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. White tells Newsmax that Obama was very much a “part of the Chicago scene” where Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. and radicals would go to each other’s events and support each other’s causes.

In 1995, the Chicago Reader ran an extensive piece on Obama. It noted that he “took time off from attending campaign coffees to attend the Million Man March in Washington, D.C.” The march was organized by Farrakhan and Rev. Jeremiah Wright. At the time, Obama was running for the Illinois Senate from Chicago’s South Side. He won that seat after getting his supporters to challenge the signatures on the nominating petitions for his main rival -incumbent Alice Palmer.

Obama spoke with the Chicago Reader after returning from the march, saying

“What I saw was a powerful demonstration of an impulse and need for African-American men to come together to recognize each other and affirm our rightful place in the society. These are mean, cruel times, exemplified by a ‘lock ’em up, take no prisoners’ mentality that dominates the Republican-led Congress. Historically, African-Americans have turned inward and towards black nationalism whenever they have a sense, as we do now, that the mainstream has rebuffed us, and that white Americans couldn’t care less about the profound problems African-Americans are facing.

“Black nationalism” is the theology that was and is fundamental for Farrakhan, Wright, Malcolm X and the Black Panthers among other radicals. Obama spoke of his attraction to black nationalism at length in his 1995 memoir “Dreams of My Father.”

Obama said in a Feb. 25, 2008, presentation to a Jewish community meeting in Cleveland, Ohio, that his pastor Wright “does not have a close relationship with Louis Farrakhan.” However, just a few months earlier, Wright’s Trumpet magazine gave Farrakhan its Lifetime Achievement Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award, and said that Farrakhan “truly epitomized greatness.”

In addition to the support for black nationalist ideas Obama has expressed, White believes that Obama owes much of his success as a public orator to speaking techniques that Farrakhan developed over the years, and has used for years to great success. White elaborates, saying:

“If you listen to the rhetoric and you take away Obama’s political jargon, you hear a religious tenor to it that is very much Nation of Islam-like. I don’t know if anyone has ever touched on it, but Obama’s speaking style is very Malcolm-like, very Farrakhan-like. As a former minister of the Nation of Islam, I know how they speak. I don’t know who was training Obama. But that style is not a ministerial style like in the Christian church. It’s a Nation of Islam style. If the Nation of Islam can’t do anything else, it can train people how to speak. And nobody can outspeak a Muslim minister.”

If you listen to early radio or television interviews of Obama can hear just how much Obama’s speaking style has changed since he became a United States senator. In clips from 2001 and even early 2004, Obama speaks haltingly, with long, rambling sentences packed with legalese and wonky academic rhetoric. Not now.

White was known initially as Brother Vibert L.X., and later as Minister V.L. Muhammad before he parted ways with Farrakhan not long after the Million Man March, after nearly 25 years within the organization. His 2002 book “Inside the Nation of Islam” provoked death threats by Farrakhan’s followers, so White had to leave Illinois and move to Florida.

Despite his efforts to convince Jewish Americans that he is pro-Israel, Obama’s longstanding ties to Farrakhan, Wright and Palestinian activist Rashid Khalidi, among others, have disturbed many in the Jewish community. Farrakhan has called Judaism a “gutter religion”, has called Jews “bloodsuckers,” “satanic” and accused them of running the slave trade.

Only after Hillary Clinton called him out for being a beneficiary of Farrakhan’s support did Obama “denounce” Farrakhan’s comments, but he DIDN’T denounce the man. Farrakhan endorsed Obama in a videotaped speech to his followers at his Mosque in Chicago in February. “You are the instruments that God is gonna use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth,” Farrakhan said. He told the crowd that Obama was the new “messiah.”

Here is that video.

White reminds America that “Even though Chicago is the third-largest city in the country, within the black community, the political and militant nationalist community is very small”. Indeed.

Obama’s Anti-Coal Stance Update: OCA Decries Plans To Bankrupt Coal Industry

Comments Off on Obama’s Anti-Coal Stance Update: OCA Decries Plans To Bankrupt Coal Industry

Mike Carey, president of the Ohio Coal Association (OCA), has issued a statement today in light of Barack Obama’s anti-coal stance being revealed. In case you’ve missed the interview where Obama detailed how he’d bankrupt the coal industry, which provides 50% of America’s electricity, you can hear it all here.

It should then come as no surprise that Carey is warning voters that a vote for Obama is a vote against coal workers across the country:

“It’s evident that this [Obama-Biden] campaign has been pandering in states like Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana and Pennsylvania to attempt to generate votes from coal supporters, while keeping his true agenda hidden from the state’s voters.”

“Senator Obama has revealed himself to be nothing more than a short- sighted, inexperienced politician willing to say anything to get a vote. But today, the nation’s coal industry and those who support it have a better understanding of his true mission, to ‘bankrupt’ our industry, put tens of thousands out of work and cause unprecedented increases in electricity prices.”

Make no mistake. Barack Obama will force his vision of Utopia on us no matter what the cost to America. He’ll stand in front of voters in states like Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Ohio and tell them whatever it takes to win their votes, but watch out. Obama is ready to ruin an industry and throw away those dependent on it.
