ACORN Child Prostitution Sting: L.A. Edition

Comments Off on ACORN Child Prostitution Sting: L.A. Edition

Our favorite ACORN nut-busters Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe have just hit the net with their latest ACORN outrage… this time from Los Angeles. As you know, Hannah and James posed as a prostitute and pimp looking to fund James’ political campaign using child prostitutes. They’ve hit many cities all over the country, wanting ACORN to help them get a house. ACORN came through time and again like the corrupt champs they are. The mafia arm of the Democrat party has all KINDS of connections…like Larry Flynt in L.A.!

Pink Slips!!

1 Comment »

The “pink slips” being sent to members of Congress, warning them to abandon Washington’s massive spending programs, new energy taxes under “cap-and-trade” and nationalized health care, have surged past 5 million, but supporters of the program say they need to keep coming.

Janet Porter, founder and president of Faith2Action and one of the organizers behind the “pink slips” campaign, was at a news conference today in Washington where U.S. Reps. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.; Louie Gohmert, R-Texas; Steve King, R-Iowa; and Trent Franks, R-Ariz., hailed the effort as an innovative new vehicle for the American people to express themselves to members of Congress.

Bachmann said it’s clear the message – delivered through a stack of “pink slips” now standing approximately five feet high in congressional offices – is getting through. “They are hearing us, even those who don’t want to hear. They’re still listening,” she told WND. “Those who are on the fence, this may give them the courage to stand up to the arm-twisting.” “They’re talking about it, but they’re only talking about it behind closed doors and in the elevators as they go up and down and in very whispered tones,” Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., said. “Because, what you hear are people saying, ‘How many of those did you get or how many people came to your office today? And what are you going to do and how are you going to vote on this?'”

The “pink slips” remind members of Congress they actually work for the taxpayers and list four governmental plans that are unacceptable:

* government health care
* cap and trade
* “hate crimes”
* any more spending

“If you vote for any of these, your real pink slip will be issued in the next election,” it warns.

The pink slips already received, if stacked vertically, would be approximately three times as tall as the Washington Monument and surpass the Sears Tower in Chicago. In the first week, suppliers of paper reported the campaign had completely tapped the nation’s reserves of 8.5 x 11 inch pink paper. As the last full pallet of pink paper was delivered to the printer, new supplies had to be ordered and manufactured.

Senate Health Care Bill’s Govt. Option Mandates Everyone Pay Monthly Abortion Fee

Comments Off on Senate Health Care Bill’s Govt. Option Mandates Everyone Pay Monthly Abortion Fee

We’re still slogging our way through the Senate health care bill we got last night, but we just got a big heads up from John Boehner that everyone needs to see.

Sen. Reid’s Government-Run Health Plan Requires a Monthly Abortion Fee

Just like the original 2,032-page, government-run health care plan from Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) massive, 2,074-page bill would levy a new “abortion premium” fee on Americans in the government-run plan.

Beginning on line 7, p. 118, section 1303 under “Voluntary Choice of Coverage of Abortion Services” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run health plan. Leader Reid’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions (line 13, p. 120).

What is even more alarming is that a monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run health plan. It’s right there beginning on line 11, page 122, section 1303, under “Actuarial Value of Optional Service Coverage.” The premium will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account – and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services.

Section 1303(a)(2)(C) describes the process in which the Health Benefits Commissioner is to assess the monthly premiums that will be used to pay for elective abortions under the government-run health plan and for those who are given an affordability credit to purchase insurance coverage that includes abortion through the Exchange. The Commissioner must charge at a minimum $1 per enrollee per month.

A majority of Americans believe that health care plans should not be mandated to provide elective abortion coverage, and a majority of Americans do not believe government health care plans should include abortion coverage. Currently, federal appropriations bills include language known as the Hyde Amendment that prohibits the use of federal funds to pay for elective abortions under the Medicare and Medicaid programs, while another provision, known as the Smith Amendment, prohibits federal funding of abortion under the federal employees’ health benefits plan.

Leader Reid’s 2,074-page health care monstrosity is an affront to the American people and drastically moves away from current policy. The National Right to Life Committee has called the Reid abortion language “completely unacceptable.” The American people deserve more from their government than being forced to pay for abortion. The pro-life Stupak/Pitts amendment passed the House by a vote of 240 to 194, enjoying the overwhelming support of 176 Republicans and 64 Democrats. The Stupak/Pitts Amendment codifies current law by prohibiting federal funding of elective abortions under any government-run plan or plans available under the Exchange. The Reid plan ignores the will of a bipartisan majority of the House, and indeed the American people, by rejecting this bipartisan amendment.

Health care reform should not be used as an opportunity to use federal funds to pay for elective abortions. Health reform should be an opportunity to protect human life – not end it – and the American people agree. House Republicans have offered a common-sense, responsible solution that would reduce health care costs and expand access while protecting the dignity of all human life. The Republican plan, available at, would codify the Hyde Amendment and prohibit all authorized and appropriated federal funds from being used to pay for abortion. And under the Republican plan, any health plan that includes abortion coverage may not receive federal funds.

Time to blow up the phone lines.

Ukraine Plague: Mutant Black Lung Virus

Comments Off on Ukraine Plague: Mutant Black Lung Virus

There has been nary a peep in the mainstream media about the horror occurring in the Ukraine…people are dying at an alarming rate from something– and it isn’t the swine flu. Some think the flu may have mutated and turned far deadlier; the sick die quickly- and their lungs are black like plague victims. The rapid spread of the disease mimics the 1918 flu which killed millions.

More than 1 million people have been infected, most of them in the nine regions of Western Ukraine. President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko has called in the World Health Organization; a team of nine specialists are carrying out tests in Kiev and Lviv to identify the virus. The scientists at Recombinomics are VERY concerned about it’s genetic makeup and it’s behavior.

Yushchenko said:

“People are dying. The epidemic is killing doctors. This is absolutely inconceivable in the 21st Century. Unlike similar epidemics in other countries, three causes of serious viral infections came together simultaneously in Ukraine – two seasonal flus and the Californian flu. Virologists conclude that this combination of infections may produce an even more aggressive new virus as a result of mutation.”

Universities, schools and daycares have been closed, public meetings have been banned and theaters shut. Last week several border crossings in the country were also closed. Reports of profiteering over face masks, and incidents of anti-virus medication being sold for exorbitant prices have surfaced.

Russia, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Romania, countries that border Ukraine, have already launched health checks on Ukrainians entering their territory. Slovakia has closed two of five border crossings. There is much fear that whatever the disease is, it will spread across Europe.

One Western Ukrainian doctor said: “We have carried out postmortems on two victims and found their lungs are as black as charcoal. They look like they have been burned. It’s terrifying.”

The Flu Case is an excellent site to keep up with this and other flu news.

Harry Reid Debuts New $849 Billion Senate Health Care Bill

Comments Off on Harry Reid Debuts New $849 Billion Senate Health Care Bill

Link to the bill at the bottom.

Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) has been busy, busy, busy with his top-secret Senate health care bill. No one but Harry and the lobbyists who wrote it advised him have seen it until now. (Oh, and the Congressional Budget Office, which just revealed it will cost $849 billion dollars.) He’s finally done with all of the merging and writing, and this evening revealed his baby.

The bill includes a government-run insurance plan that would allow states to opt out, and it would extend health care coverage to 31 million additional Americans. States could (technically) be allowed to opt-out of this public option. It is lighter on the abortion-restrictions than the House bill; no Stupak amendment here. It creates a new, “optional” government long-term care plan. It still taxes insurance benefits, but not as harshly as the House bill does. The $849 billion doesn’t include the “doctor fix”, estimated at around $250 billion. Reid says this plan will reduce the deficit. And cover 31 million new people. Plenty of accounting gimmicks buried here!

Reid plans to hold a procedural vote as early as Thursday to begin debate on Saturday with a goal of passage by the end of the year. Most of the delay in revealing the bill was due to Reid’s need to twist enough arms to get the 60 votes he must have for the bill to proceed to debate.

VP Joe Biden held court for more than three hours in a room off the Senate floor. Obama also sent Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle to the Capitol to lobby senators. Adding to the uncertainty was the absence of Max Baucus (D-Mont.), who flew back to Montana to deal with a family emergency. With no margin for error, Reid needs Baucus present for the first vote.

If Reid succeeds in moving the bill onto the Senate floor, Republican Tom Coburn of Oklahoma has threatened to make the clerk read the whole thing aloud before debate can begin. Under Senate rules, any senator can demand that a bill be read before debate. Republicans, however, would have to stay on the floor the entire time to object to Democratic motions to stop the reading.

A bill reading-aloud is an excellent idea, as most in Congress need to have things read to them anyways. Plus, as this mess is over 2000 pages long, it will buy time for people to discover all of it’s hidden gold nuggets. Until Senate story-time starts, however, you’ll have to start reading the bill on your own. Here’s it is..all 2074 pages. Get crackin’!

Lindsay Graham Grills Eric Holder About Terror Trials

Comments Off on Lindsay Graham Grills Eric Holder About Terror Trials

One of the most disturbing things about watching Attorney General Eric Holder’s testimony before the Senate today, was his absolute insistence that “failure to convict is not an option.” Huh? Are these terror trials Holder is moving to New York federal criminal court real trials or not? Lindsay Graham was not amused with Holder either.

Ever Wonder If Obama Is Muslim?

Comments Off on Ever Wonder If Obama Is Muslim?

This is the man who wants Congress to wait to investigate Ft. Hood jihadist Nidal Hasan, but rush through health care, cap and trade and numerous massive spending plans. Why do you think that is?

Obama has continued to “reach out Muslims,” as he said in his keynote speech in Cairo last June, and this past week he swore in a Muslim rights advocate to the Homeland Security Advisory Council… shortly after the Fort Hood massacre.

The new member is Syrian-born Kareem Shora, who was the national executive director of the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination (ADC), which has called on the United States to stop providing Israel with weapons because of alleged “atrocities” against Arabs. Her background for her new security post is having been a legal counsel and advocate for Muslim civil rights.

She also has been a frequent guest on the Al-Jazeera satellite network.

Shora, who has been described as a “devout Muslim, joins another devout member of the faith, Arif Alikhan, who was appointed as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development in the Department of Homeland Security. His qualifications for the job were listed as having been in charge of public safety in Los Angeles during his term of deputy mayor. One of his “accomplishments” was to remove the plan that tracked Muslims in the city who were suspected of terrorist activities. Because that would not be politically correct, would it.

Meanwhile, Homeland Security visited pastor James Manning yesterday, and has begun an investigation of the fiery African American who happens to be an outspoken Obama critic.

Don’t Be Fooled By A Cooling Copenhagen

1 Comment »

As you know, next month Obama will go to Copenhagen for continued negotiations on a UN climate change treaty. The treaty is not politically popular here at home, and some say Obama will not move as boldly at Copenhagen as he might have a few months ago. The conventional wisdom is that he will make agreements to agree, which may be furthered or fulfilled at the next big climate change pow-wow in Mexico 2010. Any delay on this insanity should be considered a win for the nation, but do not think for a minute that nothing of substance will come out of Copenhagen.

Indeed, both the U.S. and Great Britain have made it clear that they will hammer out the financial responsibility aspects of the treaty, and therein lies the snare. This treaty is all about the money– we and Western Europe will be providing it to the rest of the world as “economic reparation” for being the horrid creators of global warming. Our first downpayment is to be in the neighborhood of $250 billion. Remember, this treaty is the product of the powerful communists in the green movement, and a global redistribution of wealth is at it’s core.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Barack Obama are certainly on the same page…Brown addressed the Lord Mayor’s banquet saying:

In just three weeks time countries will gather at the UN conference in Copenhagen to forge a new international agreement to combat global warming. And let us be clear what such an agreement must involve. Britain is prepared to lead the way proposing a financial plan to ensure all countries can cut carbon emissions. And this should form part of a comprehensive agreement based on politically binding commitments of all countries, which can be implemented immediately and which can act as the basis for an internationally legally binding treaty as soon as possible. The agreement must contain the full range of commitments required: on emissions reductions by both developed and developing countries, on finance and on verification.

And Obama in China:

“Our aim … is not a partial accord or a political declaration,” Obama said, “but rather an accord that covers all of the issues in the negotiations and one that has immediate operational affect.

“This kind of comprehensive agreement would be an important step forward in the effort to rally the world around a solution to our climate challenge.”

Instead of reaching a final deal in Copenhagen, a strategy dubbed “one agreement, two steps” was unveiled at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum summit over the weekend in Singapore.

The first step would be to have all 191 countries involved in the Copenhagen summit signing on to a framework that includes key ingredients, such as how to finance the coordinated effort to battle climate change. The second step will probably be pushed to the 2010 summit in Mexico, where a binding deal on cutting carbon emissions, would be hashed out.

Delays are battle-wins for us, but do not forget the big war. We have a year for scientists who don’t buy what Al Gore is selling to be bold and speak as loudly as they can, and for the real agendas and consequences of this potential nightmare to become evident. Scientists will encounter much opposition (like the EPA silencing), but the American people know a scam when they see one. We have a small amount of time left to clue them in.

Stimulus “Created Or Saved” Jobs In Places That Don’t Exist

1 Comment »

That’s right. The government stimulus-tracking website is touting jobs “saved or created” in congressional districts that do not exist. Worse? Millions of dollars reportedly went to these phantom places. Where’s the money? says that Arizona’s 15th congressional district created 30 jobs with $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts. In Oklahoma $19 million in spending created only 15 jobs in yet more congressional districts that don’t exist.

In Iowa, it shows $10.6 million spent and 39 jobs created in nonexistent districts. In Connecticut’s 42nd district (which also does not exist), the Web site claims 25 jobs created with zero stimulus dollars.

U.S. territories also get in on the action: $68.3 million spent and 72.2 million spent in the 1st congressional district of the U.S. Virgin Islands. $8.4 million spent and 40.3 jobs created in the 99th congressional district of the U.S. Virgin Islands. In the Northern Mariana Islands, there was $1.5 million spent and .3 jobs created in the 69th district, and $35 million for 142 jobs in the 99th district. (How do you create a fractional job?!)

Ed Pound, Communications Director for the recovery Board has this defense:

“We report what the recipients submit to us.”

Ed blames the problem on “human error”. Why isn’t the onus on the oversight board to track where the money has gone? IS just a list of what the states report, and not a true tracking by the feds? Are they just fudging the numbers??
