A little background…William Shatner, master thespian, has been reading Sarah Palin’s Tweets as poetry on The Tonight Show– and getting quite a few chuckles. Well, the Arctic Fox turned the tables on him last night! Barack Obama will NEVER be this real. Ever.
In defending the just-slapped-together behemoth Omnibus Spending Bill the House completed in about an hour, House Appropriations Committee Chairman Dave Obey said: “It is December. We don’t really have a choice. The bill’s already been run up; the credit card has already been used. When you get the bill in the mail you need to pay it.” $466 BILLION DOLLARS WORTH.
Well now, THAT makes everything all better. This same mentality is behind the Congressional push to raise the debt ceiling another $2 trillion dollars to boot. They’re trying to get it all behind them so you’ll forget about it when election time rolls around. Somehow I don’t think it’s going to work.
In addition to pork galore that we’ll be spending the next year uncovering, the Omnibus bill also does these vital things!
*Removes a long-standing provision to prohibit all government funds (federal and local) from being used to provide abortion services in the District of Columbia. By inserting the word “federal” before funds, the bill allows the DC government to fund abortions using public dollars.– Pg. 188-189, Sec. 814
*Contains $317.5 million for the Title X family planning program, a $10 million increase over last year’s funding level. Planned Parenthood, the top abortion provider in the country, is the largest recipient of Title X funds.
* Increases international family planning funding to $648.5 million, a $103 million increase from FY09. These funds are no longer protected by the Mexico City Policy, which President Obama rescinded earlier this year, so this massive funding stream will be free to flow to organizations that promote and perform abortion.
*In addition, the bill opens up funding for needle exchange programs, legalization of medical marijuana, domestic partnership benefits, and the Fairness Doctrine. It also contains language that will ultimately require the termination of the D.C. Opportunity Scholarships Program and eliminates funding for abstinence education, instead creating a new federal funding stream for condom education.
It also RAISES the base budget for multiple programs by 9-12%. Congress doesn’t cut, or even maintain previous spending amounts – it jacks them up. And they certainly can’t blame inflation…yet, anyways. We’ll deal with that inevitability when it comes roaring through like a Chinese tiger on New Year’s.
Even he admits he’s not worthy! Hey, what award do YOU want to claim today that YOU don’t deserve? I’ll go first…Best Housekeeper Ever Award. (Do I have to dust this thing?!)
Because … no one has grave moral reservations about treating sexual dysfunction? Or is pregnancy itself a sexual “dysfunction” in this analogy?
Watch the crucial Senate vote on whether abortions will be covered by Obamacare here- expected any moment. Opponents are insisting on an amendment exactly like the Stupak amendment which would prevent taxpayer dollars from being used for abortions. This issue could make or break the Senate health care bill. It’s not too late to call, email and generally bury your Senators on this horrid proposed legislation. Put your zip in here to get contact info, and get busy, Right Soup!
Obama and TOTUS dropped by the Brookings Institute today for another press-op, this time on jobs and how he wants to take $200 billion that didn’t need to get spent in the TARP…and throw it at make-work projects and weatherizing homes. Obama loves him some weatherizing; he offered the novel idea up again at his Jobs Summit the other day. This is his ace in the hole for our economy? Caulk?
Today Obama said:
“The nation must continue to “spend our way out of this recession. We avoided the depression many feared but our work is far from done.”
He continued his endless GOP and previous administration-bashing by sayint that soon after taking office, he and congressional Democrats took “a series of difficult steps” to try to stabilize the financial system and pull the economy out of a deep recession.
“And we were forced to take those steps largely without the help of an opposition party which, unfortunately, after having presided over the decision-making that led to the crisis, decided to hand it to others to solve.”
No mention of the fact that Barney Frank & Co. created the bank crisis in the first place, forcing banks to lend to people who would never in a gazillion years have gotten loans–and who obviously didn’t pay them. And letting banks pay off ACORN if they didn’t make loans to their minions. No mention of any of this, oh no.
Obama said critics present a “false choice” between paying down deficits and investing in job creation and economic growth. The “windfall” of $200 billion is too enticing for Obama to resist. Pay down debt? Hell, no, despite the fact that Moodys and Standard & Poors are strongly warning that the U.S.’s AAA credit rating may be downgraded…an absolutely disaterous possibility. No, Obama won’t deal with that uncomfortable reality–he’s still in campaign-mode and will stay there. It’s been a year, and that’s more than enough time for Barry to have turned into an actual President.
Ain’t gonna happen. Welcome to Porkulus 2.0
Climate-fraud crusader and Right Soup friend Lord Monckton spoke at the 2nd annual Climate Conference in Berlin, and blew the lid off of the criminals who seek to enslave us via carbon-credits and taxes. Climategate has given us one last shot at stopping this madness. I strongly encourage you to send this to your Representatives, and let them know Obama plans an end-run around them. He’s been advised by Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein that he can sign global “executive agreements” that are legally binding, without needing Congressional ratification, and he fully intends to do so at Copenhagen. Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) sent a letter to the President this weekend warning him against such a tactic. Congress needs to grow a pair quickly, or they will soon become completely powerless.
Sign the petition against Cap and Trade which Lord Monckton talks about at the end of the videos, and email or Twitter it to all you know. Time is getting very short for us, my friends.

Just so we are clear, the powers-that-be in Copenhagen and their ideological mentors are not so concerned about the planet. They are concerned with power and MONEY. Here they are in their own words:
“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”
– Maurice Strong, founder of the UN Environment Programme
“A massive campaign must be launched to de-develop the United States. De-development means bringing our
economic system into line with the realities of ecology and the world resource situation.”
– Paul Ehrlich, Professor of Population Studies
“The only hope for the world is to make sure there is not another United States. We can’t let other countries have the same number of cars, the amount of industrialization, we have in the US. We have to stop these Third World countries right where they are.”
– Michael Oppenheimer, Environmental Defense Fund
“Global Sustainability requires the deliberate quest of poverty, reduced resource consumption and set levels of mortality control.”
– Professor Maurice King
“We must make this an insecure and inhospitable place for capitalists and their projects. We must reclaim the roads and plowed land, halt dam construction, tear down existing dams, free shackled rivers and return to wilderness millions of acres of presently settled land.”
– David Foreman, co-founder of Earth First!
“Complex technology of any sort is an assault on human dignity. It would be little short of disastrous for us to
discover a source of clean, cheap, abundant energy, because of what we might do with it.”
– Amory Lovins, Rocky Mountain Institute
“The prospect of cheap fusion energy is the worst thing that could happen to the planet.”
– Jeremy Rifkin, Greenhouse Crisis Foundation
“Giving society cheap, abundant energy would be the equivalent of giving an idiot child a machine gun.”
– Prof Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University
“Our insatiable drive to rummage deep beneath the surface of the earth is a willful expansion
of our dysfunctional civilization into Nature.”
– Al Gore, Earth in the Balance
“The big threat to the planet is people: there are too many, doing too well economically and burning too much oil.”
– Sir James Lovelock, BBC Interview
“My three main goals would be to reduce human population to about 100 million worldwide, destroy the industrial infrastructure and see wilderness, with it’s full complement of species, returning throughout the world.”
-Dave Foreman, co-founder of Earth First!
“Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class – involving high meat intake,
use of fossil fuels, appliances, air-conditioning, and suburban housing – are not sustainable.”
– Maurice Strong, Rio Earth Summit
“All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and
behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself.”
– Club of Rome, The First Global Revolution
“Mankind is the most dangerous, destructive, selfish and unethical animal on the earth.”
– Michael Fox, vice-president of The Humane Society
“Humans on the Earth behave in some ways like a pathogenic micro-organism, or like the cells of a tumor.”
– Sir James Lovelock, Healing Gaia
“The Earth has cancer and the cancer is Man.”
– Club of Rome, Mankind at the Turning Point
“A cancer is an uncontrolled multiplication of cells, the population explosion is an uncontrolled multiplication of people. We must shift our efforts from the treatment of the symptoms to the cutting out of the cancer. The operation will demand many apparently brutal and heartless decisions.”
– Prof. Paul Ehrlich, The Population Bomb
“A reasonable estimate for an industrialized world society at the present North American material standard of living would be 1 billion. At the more frugal European standard of living, 2 to 3 billion would be possible.”
– United Nations, Global Biodiversity Assessment
“A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.”
– Ted Turner, founder of CNN and major UN donor Click Here to Continue Reading »
