Wow!!!!!! We won one! A Massachusetts miracle has happened. There is still hope, America. Martha Coakley has just conceded to Scott Brown in the Massachusetts Special Election for Ted Kennedy’s old Senate seat. The AP has also projected Brown as the winner. More to come!!

On January 19th, hope is up for a vote. Not the kind of false hope Obama promised the American people. Not the hope he has repeatedly denied them. Real hope. Hope that comes as a rescue from evil and destruction. Hope that the insanity of Washington can be stopped. Hope for REAL change.

The devastation in Haiti is almost unimaginable. Reports are estimating that over 100,000 people may have perished. This morning, the airport in Port Au Prince has been opened to humanitarian organizations, after being closed to them since the massive 7.0 earthquake and 40+ very large aftershocks reduced the capitol city to rubble. Please pray without ceasing for these victims.

And this is probably why the Obama administration has quietly stopped using the phrase “saved or created”. Mr. Obvious will be so pleased!

It’s been almost a year since Obama stood at a construction site in Fairfax, Virgina and bloviated on about the 100,000 jobs the stimulus would “create or save” in the state. Fast-forward to today, and the sad truth is that none of those jobs have materialized.

No, despite $695 million in allocated infrastructure funding, only 16% of designated projects had begun. Even James Oberstar, (D-MN), the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman, publicly complained about Virginia’s slow transportation spending– writing to then Gov. Kaine:

“your state ranks last among all states [51 out of 51, including the District of Columbia], based on an analysis of the percentage of Recovery Act highway formula funds put out to bid, under contract and under way.”

In fact, an Associate Press analysis reveals the hard evidence shows there has not been any positive effect on national unemployment from the massive stimulus spending. The analysis was reviewed by independent economists at five universities, and concludes that the $20 billion spent nationwide so far “has had no effect on local unemployment rates.”

And this should surprise us…why? I’ve been telling the Right Soup that the Democrats will stop at nothing to ram Obamacare through, and that they have zero interest in compromise…or common sense, for that matter. Today the news from the Hill is that Democrats are likely to forego the formal conference committee process for merging House and Senate versions of legislation, instead choosing closely-held negotiations between leaders from the two chambers.

Of course, no Republicans allowed. Neil Cavuto will have to continue his “Doorgate” watch as Democrats completely lock out the GOP from any compromise negotiations. Why? Because they know the bill is detested by most of America.

Democratic aides said the final compromise talks would essentially be a three-way negotiation involving top Democrats in the House and Senate and the White House, a structure that gives unusual latitude to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California. And that is NEVER a good thing.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the “transparency” of the process, lol. Forget calling your GOP Representatives; we must burn up the phones of the Dems, particularly those who call themselves “moderates”. Here’s the list. Get crackin’, Right Soup! And just remember this, Dems: Karma’s a bitch.
