Obama Reveals His “New Deal”

On his weekly Youtube show today, Barack Obama unveiled his massive plans to make FDR look like an amateur when it comes to spending our money. Barry wants to fix the heating in our federal buildings and schools, and change all of the lightbulbs over to mercury-laden CFL’s! Genius! He also announced a brilliant plan to ensure that state budgets everywhere go on automatic spending-increase pilot:
“[W]e will create millions of jobs by making the single largest new investment in our national infrastructure since the creation of the federal highway system in the 1950s. We’ll invest your precious tax dollars in new and smarter ways, and we’ll set a simple rule – use it or lose it. If a state doesn’t act quickly to invest in roads and bridges in their communities, they’ll lose the money.”
Obama also wants to make sure everyone can read Right Soup at lighting speed, because broadband access is in the Bill of Rights, right?
“As we renew our schools and highways, we’ll also renew our information superhighway. It is unacceptable that the United States ranks 15th in the world in broadband adoption. Here, in the country that invented the Internet, every child should have the chance to get online, and they’ll get that chance when I’m president – because that’s how we’ll strengthen America’s competitiveness in the world.”

How can his massive infrastructure re-building create millions of jobs? These jobs will only be given mostly to people who are already working. I can just see people who used to work in the financial sector building roads and bridges. What a joke.

@doug: I think Obama has proven that anyone can do anything without any experience. Personally, I’m going to head over to the hospital and perform heart surgery today for the first time because I have Hope!
A joke indeed. At least these new roads will keep looking new with no one driving on them to work.
