Obama Picks Leon Panetta To Head CIA: No Intelligence Experience

Continuing in his campaign’s theme of “No experience? No problem!” Barack Obama is set to announce Leon Panetta as his selection for director of the CIA. This would be an interesting choice because Leon Panetta has zero intelligence experience:

Two Democratic officials say President-elect Barack Obama has chosen former Clinton White House chief of staff Leon Panetta to run the CIA. Panetta was a surprise pick for the post, with no experience in the intelligence world. An Obama transition official and another Democrat disclosed his nomination on a condition of anonymity since it was not yet public.

Yet another Clintonite filling the Obama Administration, or ‘Clinton Part Duh’ if you will.

Worst. Picks. Ever.

Update: Looks like Panetta spent the 90’s trying to cut the CIA’s budget. Gee, I wonder how cutting our spending on foreign intelligence matters helped us in the decade leading up to that September morning…
