Obama Backpedals On Rendition – Suddenly Now Pro-Torture

For seven and a half years George W. Bush was allegedly guilty of war-crimes for all that torture with secretive CIA overseas prisons, renditions, and anything designed to stop the guys that wanted us all dead. Interestingly, Obama is now suddenly back pedaling on his promises and following in W’s (and Clinton’s) footsteps which will probably make him a national hero in those same lefty eyes:

Under executive orders issued by Obama recently, the CIA still has authority to carry out what are known as renditions, secret abductions and transfers of prisoners to countries that cooperate with the United States.

Current and former U.S. intelligence officials said that the rendition program might be poised to play an expanded role going forward because it was the main remaining mechanism — aside from Predator missile strikes — for taking suspected terrorists off the street.

So not only has Obama signed his approval on renditions, but he’s forced us into a situation where it will be even more important because of his moves to shut down other venues. I’m just hearing crickets in the left field.
