Norm Coleman Maintains Lead With 78% Recount Complete In Minnesota Senate Race
Email This Post
The recount continues in the intensely close Minnesota Senate race between incumbent Norm Coleman and challenger Al Franken (yes, the guy that used to write for SNL). Coleman lead by 215 after the November 4th election and with 78% of the recount complete he continues to hold a lead of 210 votes.
While things obviously look slim but good for Coleman there will still be plenty to be decided even after the recount completes thanks to ballot disputes. Currently there are over 3,000 ballots held in contention with an equal count of ~1,500 on both sides. Then again, when it is votes for Coleman like the one below being contested it’s easy to have a sense of “hope” that we won’t have anymore “change.”

Yes, that is seriously a clear vote for Coleman but contested by Franken’s scouts.
