Missouri Police Being Taught Ron Paul Supporters May Be Terrorists
Email This Post
No, this is not a misprint. If you support Ron Paul, Bob Barr, have Libertarian Party stickers on your car, or even “gather for community service projects”, you’ve been marked by Missouri Police training as displaying signs of being a terrorist. They’ve released a report called “The Modern Militia Movement.” It was compiled for authorities but was leaked to the Internet. You can see the scans here. Lest some tinfoil hatted ones think we’re playing around, here’s the mainstream media (KMBC Kansas City) report .
The report was put together by the Missouri Information Analysis Center, which is one of 58 so-called “fusion centers” nationwide that were created by the Department of Homeland Security, in part, to collect local intelligence that authorities can use to combat terrorism and related criminal activities. More than $254 million from fiscal years 2004-2007 went to state and local governments to support the fusion centers, according to the DHS Web site. During a press conference last week in Kansas City, Mo., DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano called fusion centers the “centerpiece of state, local, federal intelligence-sharing” in the future.
The MIAC report says that militia members most commonly associate with third party political groups (not that Ron was a third-party candidate in the last election) and that they might display Constitutional Party, Campaign For Liberty or Libertarian materials. The report also says that militia members are usually supporters of former presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin or Bob Barr.
MIAC’s website says that the “MIAC is the mechanism to collect incident reports of suspicious activities to be evaluated and analyzed in an effort to identify potential trends or patterns of terrorist or criminal operations within the state of Missouri.”
The MIAC report specifically describes supporters of presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr as “militia” influenced terrorists, and instructs the Missouri police to be on the lookout for supporters displaying bumper stickers and other paraphernalia associated with the Constitutional, Campaign for Liberty, and Libertarian parties.
The MIAC report does not concentrate on Muslim terrorists, but rather on the “militia movement”. Police are “educated” in the document that these suspicious people are are anti-abortion, own gold and (gasp!) may display an assortment of U.S. flags. Yikes. Be careful when reading your pocket-constitution in Missouri. If you DO live there, please help your Tax Day Tea Party be huge…and wear a Ron Paul shirt if you have one!
