Maureen Dowd Knows How To Cut And Paste

NY Times lefty columnist Maureen Dowd must have been overloaded this weekend, as she lifted part of her Sunday column from blogger Josh Marshall. She had to issue an admission of guilt today, because he called her on it. Thursday, John wrote:

“More and more the timeline is raising the question of why, if the torture was to prevent terrorist attacks, it seemed to happen mainly during the period when we were looking for what was essentially political information to justify the invasion of Iraq.”

Yesterday, Maureen plagiarized in the ghoulishly titled “Cheney, Master Of Pain”:

“More and more the timeline is raising the question of why, if the torture was to prevent terrorist attacks, it seemed to happen mainly during the period when the Bush crowd was looking for what was essentially political information to justify the invasion of Iraq.”

Can you spot the differences?! Mo is slacking. Has she been skimming from other writers? That’s a no-no. Will this open up a critical review of her body of work? Doubtful, but it could be delicious.
