It’s Not About Tea, It’s About WE… The People

Wow! A day full of New American Tea Party protests all over the country! Citizens came out in force against spending, the erosion of our liberties, and our out of control government. Fox News is reporting that there were over 40 Tea Parties today, and there are more tonight and tomorrow. Matt and I were privileged enough to participate…Matt in D.C., and me in Nashville at Legislative Plaza. Matt’s going to give us his update from D.C. later, and tell us about his adventures tomorrow at CPAC!
As for Nashville, there were over 700 people at the Party…a fab turnout for having about 1 day’s notice. (Also, a bigger crowd than at Al Gore’s “non-concession” speech!) The crowd was fired UP, and we are just getting started.
The movement has begun, but it desperately needs YOU. Please don’t think that someone else can ever take your place. This is YOUR country, these are your elected officials who are running wild in Washington, and these are your liberties at stake. One day, you can tell your grandchildren that you FOUGHT for them in the battle for America.
Civil liberty protests are beginning across the pond in the UK as well. They DON’T have a bill of rights like we do. Let that sink in for a minute. They’re fighting for what we already have. If we don’t stand up for what we have, it can be taken from us in a nanosecond. Look at how quickly our nation has fallen in just ONE MONTH of Obama’s rule. Look at France.
We must not let our families and our country down, we must not. This is a seminal time in history, a touchstone, a marker that will be revisited years from now. Will we have any checks and balances in our government? Will we pay 70% of our income in taxes? Will our children and grandchildren be governed by global institutions? Will they be systematically indoctrinated from birth with amoral, relativist propaganda? Will you be a criminal if you try to educate them yourself, or teach them about faith?
Prepare yourselves, it is going to be a bumpy, messy, and very possibly dangerous ride. Build your community now and band together tightly. You are absolutely NOT alone.
