Listening to C-SPAN this morning I heard a discussion on the various excuses the media was using to avoid coverage of the March For Life going on today in Washington DC on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. The reasoning include that the media was just too tired from their Obamagasms of the past few days to the idea there weren’t enough participants (estimated this year to be 200,000). My guess? The media knows Obama plans to issue a pro-abortion executive order today and oh what a conflict that would be for them.

President Obama will issue an executive order on Thursday reversing the Bush administration policy that bans the use of federal dollars by non-governmental organizations that discuss or provide abortions outside of the United States.

Obama will sign the executive order on the 36th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in all 50 states.

The policy, known in governmental circles as the “Mexico City policy,” requires any non-governmental organization to agree before receiving U.S. funds that they will “neither perform nor actively promote abortion as a method of family planning in other nations.”

That would certainly be a stark contrast in the news to shift from a story of hundreds of thousands marching to remind everyone of the value of the life over to a story on Obama funding overseas abortions with your tax dollars. Chris Matthews would probably consider that not making Obama a success.

I’m guessing this pro-abortion president won’t be responding to March for Life’s invitation either.
