I Can Haz Edukashun? Obama’s Education Secretary Fails At Just 17% On Proper Reading Level

Earlier this week Barack Obama named Arne Duncan to be his secretary of education. Duncan comes from Chicago (big surprise) as the superintendent of one of the worst school systems in America with 17% of students reading at their grade level. But don’t worry, Arne is ready to spread his failed policies across our nation.
In 2007, only 17 percent of eighth graders tested at or above grade level in reading in Chicago Public Schools – the school system administered by Arne Duncan since 2001.
President-elect Barack Obama on Tuesday tapped Duncan to become secretary of education in the upcoming administration.
Duncan, hailed by Obama as a reformer, said he would like to take the lessons he learned in Chicago with him when he moves to Washington. “I’m also eager to apply some of the lessons we have learned here in Chicago to help school districts all across our country,” Duncan said after Obama formally named him to the job in Chicago.
What? Aren’t there any other Kennedys Obama could appoint? Maybe Barry is hoping that if the future generations can’t read no one will ever know what’s going on.

Its looks to me like the country will be ran by people from Chicago and New York no matter what their experience is! We can hold onto our hats for a rough 4 years. Our kids deserves more than that!
