Final Conference Text Of Stimulus Bill H R 1: Passed…But Nobody’s Read It

The final version of the Porkulus bill out of the conference committee has FINALLY been released. This steaming load is so big, (over 1000 pages with the markouts), that it took FOREVER to download. Representatives didn’t even get the thing until around midnight last night, and it is impossible that anyone has had time to read it. On Tuesday, a unanimous vote was taken providing that at least 48 hours be given after the release for Americans and Congress to read the bill.

Democrats went back on their word, COMPLETELY disregarding the 100% agreement, and rushed this insanity through this morning. San Fran Nan Pelosi had to hop on her broom plane to jet to Italy for an award. Because of this audacious move, any pretense of bi-partisanship between the GOP and most Democrats is officially gone. Obama’s lips are moving, so he’s lying. Ditto for everyone in Congress who have behaved just as shamelessly.

We ARE reading the mess, and will be telling you about the hidden dirty tricks, “earmarks”, and my fave new politi-term …”phantom earmarks”, that will be voted in as law. We also will begin to decipher how much of this lunacy can be reversed after 2010, when conservatives turn their anger into votes, and kick these liars to the curb.

Not a single Republican House Representative voted for this last version of the Porklus, and 7 Democrats joined them in saying no. Those rational 7 deserve thanks. Currently, the Senate is short one vote…Brown from Ohio, who will almost certainly give the 60th yes vote needed to seal the deal. He’s on his way back from his mother’s wake, according to C-Span. Expected to arrive around 10:30 ET. The Senate pages are looking extremely bored, perhaps THEY could start reading this hog?!

Let’s hope everyone else can speed-read, although now Democrats have zero incentive to do so. Remember when Obama said he wouldn’t sign legislation that hadn’t been viewable for 5 days? Oh well, lips moving…still lying.
