Dems Nix Allowing Public To Read Health Care Bill Before Vote
Email This Post
Will THEY even read it? Heh. Of course, no one believes the campaign crap about Obama’s administration being the “most transparent yet.” Yesterday, Democrats voted down GOP amendments to the Baucus health care bill, which would allow it’s publication online for 72 hours before voting on it. Like Barack Obama promised during his campaign, and has yet to do on any bill.
Democrats also will not release the Congressional Budget Office figures on what it will cost. Screw you, American citizens. We do what we want.
The markup continues on the Baucus bill, and as this is where the real sneaky stuff happens– get ready to bend over. If we win Congressional majority back in 2010, and are able to thwart any more legislation between then and the 2012 election, we will make huge progress. Getting nothing done has never been more important. Stopping the freight train is imperative.
Contact your Representatives today and tell them if they don’t let us read the bill before they vote, (and of course if they vote for this travesty) it will ensure their unemployment via their next election. Promise.
