Democrats & Organizing For America Plan To “Overwhelm” 1000+ Town Hall Meetings Before Recess Ends

A call to arms for Right Soup readers: Obama’s permanent campaign arm, Organizing For America, has called for Obamacare supporters to blitzkrieg town hall meetings across America…starting TODAY. The plan is for Barry’s buddies to drown out the opposition–the very thing they’ve accused protesters of doing.
A “health-insurance-reform-now” bus will travel the country, anchoring events in 11 cities: Phoenix, Albuquerque, Denver, Des Moines, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Charlotte, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio. Many more rallies will be held in addition to the 11-city push.
Left-leaning Politico says the efforts will range from:
neighborhood organized phone banks to professionally staffed rallies with hundreds of people.
“Professionally staffed rallies?” Shocker. Anyone who has seen coverage of the SEIU and ACORN-recruited faithful strong-arming protesters, can easily see THEY are the “astroturf”…right down to their mass-printed signs. Wonder how much they’ll be paid?
Let’s fight back. You can go to OFA’s website, put in your zip code and see what events are scheduled in your area. Many Representatives have been hiding out during the August recess, afraid to face their constituents. Now, lots of them will be holding meetings which they hope will result in lots of pro-Obamacare footage. Get your video camera, make your home-made sign, and GO. Document everything you can, and try to get your Reps to answer the tough questions on Obamacare.

Hello! My mom is giving your site address to all her friends…most have no idea about the details of obamacare! They are freaking out! So many people are use to trusting the government and being hearded like sheep that they have failed to notice the scariness in the obamacare nightmare! She went to the town hall in murfreesboro monday & she was shocked at how mis-informed the people sitting around her were. Sure we all want cheap healthcare and accessible healthcare but at what cost ???? I would rather have my bank account continue to be accessible only by me and would rather have choices! Isn’t that what America is all about freedom of speech and choices? A dictatorship would take that away……I wonder what Eisenhour would say?? Probably, “remember the holocaust”!! If we don’t fight back we are in big trouble! The old statement women and children first will not have the same meaning. my favorite saying: SURE YOU CAN TRUST THE GOVERNMENT…ASK A NATIVE AMERICAN….see how they ended up with all their promises

What happened to caring for your neighbor? This country has become one of me, myself and I. I hope all readers on this site get terrible health problems and your private health care company denies you the care you paid for and you go bankrupt paying for your health care out of pocket. You people are not your brothers keeper, you are Fox cable channel brainwashed individuals who are only helping the corporations screw you over. You poor sheep Baa to you all.

Todd, I am confused how is giving people a option to participate in a public health program collectivism? I believe everyone has a right to chose but some in our society need help. What I have learned about collectivism is what is good for one person is good for everyone and I still don’t get how you equate the public health care option with that of what you says leads to mass poverty and genocide. Seems to me you have brought Mr. Larouche doctrine hook line and sinker. You are misrepresenting something as an untruth when you say a public health care option with lead to mass poverty and genocide. We have mass poverty and genocide going on everyday int his country when we deny people health care because they can’t afford it. Tell it to the thousands of people who stood in line at the stadium in LA who needed health care who were down on their luck.

Factcheck.org is a great reference about HR3200 – the health care bill. The government will not have access to your checking account. The section Shannon is referencing is about how the government will pay medical providers. Also, we all don’t have “choice”. I had great employer provided “private” insurance…until my boss decided it was too “expensive” and switched us to a crappy plan with high premiums, copays and deductibles. If the government can be trusted to fix our roads, protect us, put out fires and lend us free books – I’m confident they can provide us with a more affordable (and comprehensive) health care option. Most seniors like medicare – I don’t personally know any who refuse the coverage. More importantly, every other developed nation provides health care for their citizens – it IS a moral issue – we should too!

As written, section 163 DOES give the government access to your accounts. Some say this section is meant for companies, not individuals, however this does not explain why sect 163 aims to determine an individual’s financial health– and ability to pay for services. Until re-written, protests by Annenberg-owned Factcheck regarding this section’s aims and powers granted will only be further propaganda. Also, in case this is news: Medicare is BROKE.

If individuals/families qualify for a “more affordable” option based on “income” or “financial health” – then they should be provided with that information.
We don’t get anything in this country without asking for it. We would have to apply for the new “health care option” and complete “paperwork” – including disclosure of income information – to be allowed access to any future health program.
The SCHIP program in many states takes family income into account. If parents have income, they may be required to pay premiums/copays/deductibles – even though their children are participating in a government program. Not all government programs are “free”. The parents submit info. The government doesn’t have access to their banking info – the parents disclose info on their application forms. Same goes with seniors/disabled persons participating in medicare. They provide personal/financial info to the government to determine eligibility. Some medicare recipients showing low-income status will have certain premiums/fees/copays/etc. paid by state/federal programs – without their “applying” for them, based on prior paperwork submitted to the government. Hope this isn’t too confusing.
Anyways, Medicare wouldn’t be broke if we had tax rates similar to those in place prior to Reagan – or better yet – before JFK. As the rich conservatives (Republican and Democrats) have reduced the tax rate on the wealthiest Americans – they have borrowed money from China and other sources. The rich in our country SHOULD pay more. Read about tax history – it’s pretty shocking what’s been done to our country. Medicare isn’t the problem – class warfare and greed is!

Would I trust the people who are in the czar positions right now with my health care? Nope not one of them has integrity. Talk about following the money— with greed!
from Michelle Malkin: “Two firms that received $343.3 million to handle advertising for Barack Obama’s White House run last year have profited from his top priority as president by taking on his push for health-care overhaul.
One is AKPD Message and Media, the Chicago-based firm headed by David Axelrod until he left last Dec. 31 to serve as a senior adviser to the president. Axelrod was Obama’s top campaign strategist and is now helping sell the health-care plan. The other firm is Washington-based GMMB Campaign Group, where partner Jim Margolis was also an Obama strategist.
This year, AKPD and GMMB received $12 million in advertising business from Healthy Economy Now, a coalition that includes the Washington-based Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America, known as PhRMA, that is seeking to build support for a health-care overhaul, said the coalition’s spokesman, Jeremy Van Ess.
Axelrod was president and sole shareholder of AKPD from 1985 until he sold his interest after Obama’s victory, government records show. The firm owes Axelrod $2 million, which it’s due to pay in installments beginning Dec. 31. Axelrod’s son, Michael, still works there. He didn’t return a phone call. The firm’s Web site continues to feature David Axelrod’s work on the Obama campaign.
…At the White House, Axelrod’s role in the health-care debate ranges from Sunday talk show appearances to meetings with House and Senate lawmakers…
Van Ess said HEN is now dormant. PhRMA and three other members of HEN, plus the Washington-based Federation of American Hospitals, have created another coalition, Americans for Stable Quality Care, which last week announced a new $12 million ad campaign to promote health-care overhaul. GMMB and AKPD are also working on the new coalition’s ads”.
OK this is just the tip of the iceburg. A 1000+ page bill is beyond the scope of most congressmen to read let alone grasp. So the Apollo Alliance should be in charge? What about all these other characters surrounding Obama? Each one of them has a history! Do your research. . .
