Rick, I don’t know your political affiliation. I am a Conservative NOT a Republican. I am in Iraq, defending freedom – and making a living for my family. I make decent money, but I have no debt and I SAVE when I want to buy something. I pay ALLOT of tax, and I am enraged that I (and allot of other Americans) work so hard and will now be forced to subsidize people who cannot manage their finances. By that I mean a guy who makes 40k/year and bought a 300k house. The Constitution does not provide for the defense of idiots. The free market should be just that. If you make bad business decisions and the public loses trust or does not buy your product, you should fail. It is what happens to everybody ‘else’… until now.
As for Detroit: they are getting a pass because the Democrats are in the pocket of the Unions. If we let the free market reign, these companies would fail, go into protection (Chpt. 11), renegotiate everything (including booting the Unions) and prices would drop. Products would become better (because if not you fail!) and they would prosper and compete with Japan.
I AGREE Rick. Let them FAIL.
After all, what is success with no risk of failure? I don’t know, but it most certainly is NOT success. Too much ‘political correctness’.
An illegal alien is just that, NOT an ‘undocumented worker’.
Do we call drug dealers ‘unlicensed pharmacists’?
