Breaking: Largest Military Recall Since 1941 Possibly In Progress Right Now

Right Soup is hearing that a General Mobilization of ALL former military officers is underway. We caution that the talk we are hearing is conflicting, and that no concrete evidence has been uncovered yet. Still, reports from some who would be affected say that letters began going out on November 17th to all Non Commissioned Officers to recall them to service. Letters to Warrant Officers and Sergeants will go out this coming week. Reportedly some retired military have already gotten their letters. Right Soup is actively searching for scans of said letters, and for confirmation of this news.
A General Mobilization is VERY serious, about as serious as it gets. The Posse Comitatus of 1878 , which limits the use of the military for law enforcement is possibly being cast aside, if the rumored mobilization is for domestic enforcement. The Act can be set aside Executive Order of the President. Bottom line is, something big has to be imminent for this to be happening.
All sectors of society would be affected by this recall; there are doctors, lawyers, policemen, accountants, mechanics etc…it would be a huge disruption of society. For this to be happening would mean the “threat” is something which would occur within the next 3 months. A mobilization of this magnitude would be impossible to hide, so there would be a public pretext issued soon.
American Electric Power, one of the nation’s largest electricity providers, has reportedly moved 45-50 housing trailers to it’s Gavin power plant in Ohio. These trailers are equipped with beds and MREs, and reportedly many power facilities are doing the same thing AEP is doing. There is also chatter about some of our ships mobilizing to the Persian Gulf. Could something be happening with Iran? Or could our military be preparing for a domestic problem?
Right Soup is investigating this information right now. We will be reporting back with more on this possibly blockbuster happening, and are actively seeking concrete evidence. We are actively seeking photocopies/scans of recall letters.

I’m afraid I’m going to call “BS” on this for the time being.
The wording bugs me… you stated “Warrant Officers and Sergeants” in one statement. Just prior to that you said that “out on November 17th to all Non Commissioned Officers to recall them to service.”
Sergeants are actually “Non-Commissioned Officers”. The Air Force doesn’t have any Warrants any more, I believe the last one retired from service about the time I did or before (2002).
*I* have not received any such letter – and wouldn’t expect to. And I can be recalled up until the age of 60.
I’d ask that the blogger here on this site please provide a photocopy of an original letter, complete with the signature of the originating office as proof of this alleged “recall”.

Good point rickD. also the article mentions that our battleships are possibly massing in the gulf. One, they don’t confirm it and simply say that its chatter. from where though? crazy Bill the Bum on the corner of main street? Two, US navy does not have battleships anymore. at least get the terminology right.

I tracked this back to an interview on Republic radio posted 11/18/08, and the info came from John Moore, a former Green Beret who works as a personal security/survival consultant out of St. Louis. The Right Soup report summarizes what Moore said in the interview, but not particularly well. You can google to read the transcript, but it doesn’t say much more than what you read here.
With guys being pulled off Navy boats and put into combat training for Afghanistan, I do wonder what the Wormtongues in Washington will do if they perceive they are outnumbered by gun-owning Americans.

I completed a voluntary two year tour with Army Casualty, 2005-2007. The probability of a mobilization for a national Emergency is unlikely. Let’s face it, ground wars are too friggim messy. Easier just to take out a few grid sqaures with nukes or high tech munitions. As for the gun owners in America, being that “Domestic Enemy”, may be a consideration depending on the moves of the next group of idiots occupying the White House. At some point and time any Government may require an adjustment from time to time. If you want to call that Revoloution, that will be alright as well. For this retired 1SG, I will go for what protects the founding documents of this country, and their content. If that involves overthrowing the US Government, nothing is off the table to preserve our democracy. Our Leaders too often prove that their greed and power is self serving and not for the people they promised to serve and protect. So for any of you Government monitoring types, you can kiss my patriotic ass, and try to take my guns.

Please re-read the constitution. America was not ever founded as a “democracy.” America is a REPUBLIC. The founders of this country detested democracies.
If you are going to fight for democracy, put down your guns … as America IS working on the principles of DEMOCRACY.
Please … learn the difference between a Republic and a democracy.

The last active duty Air Force warrant officer, CWO4 James H. Long, retired in 1980 and the last Air Force Reserve warrant officer, CWO4 Bob Barrow, retired in 1992. Since then, the U.S. Air Force warrant officer ranks, while still authorized by law, are not used. The W-5 grade was authorized by Congress for use by the Air Force along with the other armed forces, but was never used.
The U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is planning to add warrant officers in grades W-1 through W-4 in 2006. Addition of a W-5 would require action by Congress, and is not anticipated at this time. Initial specialties will include associate’s degree nurses, laboratory technicians, and paramedics. Rank insignia will be identical to that of U.S. Navy warrant officers, with the USPHS badge replacing the specialty insignia.

Ditto on what Rick D wrote. I am a recently retired Air Force Officer (18 mos) who may participate in a rated voluntary recall to active duty for a limited period of time (2 years) if it is offered. To get the facts, just log-in to any of the services personnel websites and peruse their return to active duty or voluntary recall programs. The Air Force just completed a force shaping draw down and now finds itself short of qualified officers to fill some flying and staff positions. As the pendulum swings from one personnel state to another, the personnel branches use several tools (incentive programs to separate/voluntary recalls to plus up manning) to fill positions and match desired manning levels. The Air Force (can’t speak for the other services)uses permanent/temporary/retired recall programs to fix temporary gaps in their manning doc requirements. The Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve plus qualified recent retiree’s are contacted IF you express interest in any recall programs that may be opened. In the case of retirees, formerly rated (aviators)retirees are given limited tours of duties to fill staff positions thus freeing up a rated aviator to return to the cockpit. None of this constitutes a nefarious secret mobilization on the part of the defense establishment but is simply a response to current and projected manning end strength requirements and a large on-going combat presence in three geographic areas of operation. Procedures for the return to active duty are not much of a secret to those of us with extensive and long-standing ties to their respective services and in the case of the Air Force, has been voluntary since the ending of the draft. As always, “it is what it is”.

adults and deserve to be told the truth !
