Bernie Madoff’s $826 Million Dollar Asset List…And Leaks

In a last-ditch effort to get Bernie Madoff out of jail, his lawyer filed an appeal today that included an itemized list of assets the Wall Street scammer owns, totaling a whopping $826 million. I’m pretty sure this financial inventory is NOT going to buy Bernie any sympathy.
B.M. and his wife Ruth own four homes worth $22 million, had $17 million in cash and a $7 million yacht. The list also shows that Ruth Madoff owns $2.6 million worth of jewelry and that the couple has $9.9 million in artwork. The single biggest asset is Madoff’s brokerage business, which was listed at $700 million. I’m pretty sure they didn’t mean to print actual account numbers in the appeal. Ruth better call Lifelock STAT.
