Barack Obama’s First Press Conference- Live 2:30 ET; 1:30 CT
Email This Post
Barack Obama is meeting with his financial advisers right now, and is set to hold his first press conference as president-elect today at 2:30 ET, 1:30 CT from Chicago. The focus is said to be the economy, and that Obama’s first goal is to “do no harm”…don’t spook the markets, don’t spook the public. Sounds like a tightrope to me, but we’ll see if the windy one from the windy city can pull it off. Watch the live stream here at the conference time.
It will be interesting to see if Obama puts some of his tax cuts or spending plans on ice for the time being, or if he’ll even address them. He’s in the fairly strange position of being a sitting senator who could be voting on stimulus packages currently in Congress.
